5000 Miles!

We’ve travelled 5000 miles now to Qu’Qon Uzbekistan. even though i think 1000 of them have been going round in circles getting lost! Since leaving Bratislave we travelled east through Slovakia into the Ukraine. I lent on the air horn by mistake at the Ukraine border! thought we were done for! but got through ok. We have gotten fairly sharp at getting through borders now and haven’t had to pay any bribes so far. The people seem to be getting friendlier and friendlier the further we go! The Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan have been fantastic but the Uzbeks have to be the coolest people so far. We got pulled over by the cops today but instead of giving us a hard time they spent 20 minutes shouting and joking at each other down the megaphone! The Kazak and Uzbek deserts are amazing, the hottest and flattest places we’ve ever seen! We are now about to enter Kyrghstan and into the mountains!
Bratislava!

Sat at the Bratislave city beach, the weather is smoking hot and we had an awesome camp spot on the edge of the danube in the middle of the city. Since leaving goodwood we powered through belgium and germany, Had a run in with the german police. Franky was giving toots and cheers out the window to an unmarked car! they dont like being filmed either! On into the czech republic and another rozzer stop for not paying our motorway tax! Next night was the czech out party, complete barnstormer, well castle stormer, managed to loose the car keys pissed which could of been the biggest school boy error of the rally until they were found laying round in the castle next morning! We stopped for a hangover curing swim in an awesome czech lake and not we’re now gunna truck outta Bratislava into the Slovakian countryside, roll on east!

Woooaaaa what a manic week! we are seriously sleep deprived and very tired and we haven’t even started yet! but its time to hit the road! The truck is loaded and we are off to Goodwood to kick off this month long wheeled shingdig EXCITED! keep checking back to hear our tales from the road! But there is also plenty of time to still donate to our charities!

We have just picked the truck up from Burnham Autos and oh boy have they been busy on her undercarriage. What you are looking at is stainless steel sump and tank guards and a little further back are shock guards. A landmine should now feel little more than a speed bump! Me and Tom are so stoked and want to give a huge thank you to Paul and the guys at Burnham Autos who have gone out of their way to help us. Weekend Welders

Full steam ahead now with only 12 days to go! We wheeled the 32′ coupe off the ramp and spent a long day and night at Burnham Autos working on the truck. The exhaust is desert ready, the fuel lines can now survive a land mine, the stickers are half done, the sump and fuel guards are on the way. A massive thank you to Paul at Burnham Autos for letting us loose in the worshop until 1am.
